This week's blog is brought to you by the word WOW... wow learning, wow listening, wow thinking, wow conversations, wow kindness, wow bravery/risk taking... actually, just wow everything. Oh and... it's week 5! Wow, really?!
We have been very busy making and sharing books. The range of topics and styles of presentation has been wide and impressive and our levels of engagement at this time has been through the roof - we just can't wait to see what will be shared next!
Our sharing during 'partner prattle' is coming along nicely. We are learning to take turns, be great listeners when our partners are sharing and to ask good questions so we can get more information from the speaker - great work, JuC!
In Unit of Study, we are starting to work in groups (Inquiry groups), to learn about a particular material, so we can teach the rest of the class about it. We have started making installations, through which we can help others to know a little more about our material. The 'plastic' group demonstrated great collaboration, resilience, creativity and critical thinking while making theirs. The rest of the class start working in their groups next week.

We have also enjoyed using our iPads to support our learning in mathematics and done so with great responsibility - we really are managing ourselves and our resources beautifully - wow!
The word 'yet' has been used so much, that Ms Julie hasn't stopped smiling all week! "I don't know how to write that word yet"; "I don't know how to read that word yet".... What was even more exciting, was that 'yet' was always followed by the development of strategies and attempts to do what we couldn't do yet - WOW!
We have been talking about what we can do when we hurt someone, physically or emotionally. The conversations that have taken place have been incredible - full of wonder, honesty and a genuine commitment to caring for others. We are now practising how we can say sorry to someone when we have hurt them in some way, in a manner that ensures our relationship is repaired and we can all move forward. This topic has provided so many 'wow' learning moments, not to mention many "I can't believe this is a K2 conversation..." moments!
Collaboration, kindness and creativity have been a HUGE part of our week- JuC is a great place to be!
We had a birthday this week... Happy Birthday, Yash!
Mr Carrots and Mr Fly couldn't wait for Friday - safe travels you two!
